John & Tracey's Wedding

Tracey Fitzpatrick and John Birch were married on Saturday 8th July 2006 at 1.30pm.  The wedding ceremony took place at St Anne’s Church, Lydgate in Saddleworth, not far from the bride and groom’s home.  The ceremony was presided over by the Reverend Simon Brandes with a full choir in attendance.  31 guests and a number of well wishers witnessed the beautiful service and thankfully the weather stayed warm and clear.  Tracey had two bridesmaids, Sister Karen and John’s daughter, Lydia. John's Brother in Law Graham Holt was John's best man & two ushers were also in attendance; Tracey’s nephew, Leigh and Alex, John’s son. Just a short stroll from the little chapel is the award winning White Hart Inn were the reception took place. After a sumptuous seven course wedding breakfast, numerous speeches a few tear drops the evening got into full swing with the total number of guests rising to 90.  Part of the evening entertainment consisted of an Irish band “Whiskey in Jar” and disco thereafter. The evening ended with Tracey & John trying to climb into their “apple pie bed” courtesy of Tracey’s sister Karen. Sunday brought the start of the honeymoon as the couple flew out to Cyprus that afternoon.
