Sore Heads, Fingers & Throats After Vintage End Of Season Do!

Chilli (thanks Paul), Curry (thanks Pete), Karaoke (thanks again Paul), guitars & alcohol were the perfect recipe for another memorable end of season bash at M.C.C H.Q.

Fifty renditions of 'Nights In Miles Platting' the last a duet with the boy Nixon in a taxi heading up Lees Rd at 5.20 a.m., rendered me completely hoarse later the same day.

Debbie Fazackerley proved to her beloved that she too can stay out late, albeit with the help of a cat nap thrown in at around 3 a.m. By the way, she does look like Helen Mirren doesn't she?

Conners and Lynne drank the club dry of Stella, (no change there then) and their enforced change to Red Stripe around 2 .am. was clearly not to their liking. if the twenty half empty cans on the bar top were anything to go by!

Then there was the obligatory streak, the 'Potts' comatose, it was just like groundhog day.  I would have paid money to watch 'Sid's' drunken, meandering, walk down Mottram Rd at 6:15 a.m.

Martyn Carr & Kingsy bid us farewell at 3a.m., but these two lightweights were not to be let off lightly though as they were greeted by one very inebriated bride to be, her maid in waiting, & several very worse for wear bridesmaids on disembarking at 'Chez Carr'

Aidy as usual was the trouper behind the bar, whilst Quinny & Mike Marsden all sang their hearts out for the lads.

Thanks to the wonders of technology, 'The Moose' down under, was serenaded at numerous times throughout proceedings and I sincerely hope he drank one upside down in recognition of our drunken efforts and not inconsiderable expense.  See you next year big fella!

Shine on crazy diamond!
